Mission Chandrayaan 3

Chandrayaan 3

Launching Of Chandrayaan

Chandrayaan 3 is a great mission for India and Indian scientists. On July 14, 2023, at 2:35 p.m., the Chandrayaan 3 began its moon mission. The Chandrayaan-3 was launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The budget of the mission was 615 crore rupees. This amount is very low at the level of space missions. This is being said because even the budget of today’s movies is higher as compared to Chandrayaan 3’s budget. The lander will land on the south (Dakshin) pole of the lunar surface.

The Purpose Of Chandrayaan 3 Mission

The mission is launched to do research on extraterrestrial life, which is also commonly known as alien life. The rocket is launched using a GSLV3 Mark 4, two solid fuel boosters, and a cryogenic engine. The rocket has three important parts: Vikram (the lander), Pragyan (the rover), and a propulsion module. The rocket has been launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sri Hari Kota, Andhra Pradesh.

It took four years to build a new rocket. The first Chandrayaan was launched in 2008, and the second Chandrayaan was launched in 2019. The Chandrayaan 3 was launched on July 14, 2023.

What Will Happen Next?

The Chandrayaan 3 will take 40 days to land on the lunar surface because the mission has a very low budget. On the night of August 23, 2023, the lander will land on the lunar surface. It has been taking this much time because it has to take five orbits around the Earth. On August 1, 2023, the rocket started its journey to lunar orbit, and on August 5, 2023, it reached lunar orbit and started its first orbit around the moon. It has to go into orbit because the fuel is not enough to send a rocket directly to the moon. After taking five orbits around the moon, the lander Vikram will land on the moon.

After the soft landing of Vikram, the rover Pragyan will come out of the lander and test the soil samples on the moon, and it will also send images of the moon’s surface, creator (holes made by the asteroid), rocks, etc. The landing of Vikram will be a very proud moment for all Indians. Many other countries will also get help identifying the perfect places for their rocket launches.
