Lost Inside the Book

Once there was a boy named Khufu. He was a student; he studied in 7th grade, and his favourite subject was Social Studies. He was interested in learning about ancient civilizations. On one pleasant day, as he was reading his history book, he came across a chapter about Egyptians. Then suddenly!

Some blue particles came out of his book and pulled Khufu into the book. After one hour, when he woke up, he realized he was lying on a sand dune, and he started roaming.

After roaming for two hours, he saw a brown triangle shaped like a mountain. He thought he was in a magical world. As he came closer to the mountain, he realized that it wasn’t a mountain, In fact, a pyramid was being constructed.

That was when he realized he is inside his history book. After that, he saw many such pyramids. There were some people pulling the big stones, they were wearing a white cloth on their waist and a white rag on their head.

Since he was eager to know more about happenings in the past, he went a bit closer to the workers, they got scared owing to his costume and language. One of them quickly called the official guards to complain, but even the guards hesitated because of his attire; they inquired about him but were not satisfied with his justifications.

So they took him to the king, and he ordered him to reveal his identity. Though Khufu was telling the truth, it was hard for them to believe his statements, so the King sentenced him to prison for the time being. Now, Khufu realizes that he is really in trouble.

But in the cell, he found an old magician as his companion, Khufu started weeping and describing his entire situation to him. The magician was the only person who believed in Khufu and promised to bestow on him freedom.

A magician, with his black magic, teleported him to the city of Cairos, where he again found that some labourers were working to construct the pyramid. He went to them and asked them about the procedure to go back to the future. The landlord of that area thought that he was a fool and tried to take advantage of him. The landlord said if he completes the task, he will send him back to the future.

“You have to lift this big stone block up alone,” he said to Khufu. Give me a rope and a round-shaped wooden piece. He used those simple elements to make a pulley and easily lift up the block of stone. Seeing him do that, people started clapping and sending this information to the king.

Hearing that, the king was shocked that how can a single person lift a heavy stone? Khufu told him about the pulley, and then the king asked him about his wish. Khufu said that to free that magician, who is in prison, the king did so, and this magician, with his magic, sent Khufu back to the future.
